Another area I’ve visited long ago was Philadelphia. This area is so rich with history that I’d love to return as an adult and really soak it all in.
Bensalem

- Valley Forge National Historical Park: Learn all about the historic headquarters of Washington’s army.

- Ridley Creek State Park: Hike along this creek that contains a small waterfall.
Philadelphia
- Fort Mifflin: Fort that dates back to the Revolutionary War.
- Franklin Institute: One of the nation’s most celebrated science museums that offers lots of hands on exhibits.
- Independence National Historical Park: Preserves several sites related to the founding of the country and the Revolutionary War.
- Liberty Bell Center: View the famous icon of American independence.
- Philadelphia Zoo: Visit the first true zoo in the United States.
- US Mint: Take a tour of the US Mint, one of the first things established after forming the US government.
Upper Black Eddy
- Ringing Rocks Park: Park that features unique rocks that ring like a bell when struck.
Washington Crossing
- Washington Crossing Historic Park: Explore the historic site where Washington crossed the Delaware River.
West Chester
- American Helicopter Museum: Hands on museum that has several helicopters on display.
